I have decided to make my first people spotlight Mr. Terrance Zdunich, since my first movie review is Repo! the Genetic Opera.
A multi-talented individual, Terrance Zdunich wrote Repo! the stage play, the screenplay, drew the comics in the movie, starred in it as the cunning Graverobber, wrote the music, sang wonderfully in the stage production and movie, and toured the beast across the country.
Recently he also created the wonder that is The Devil's Carnival, which will be in the Review section as soon as I get my grubby little mitts on a copy.  He also starred in TDC as the great Lucifer himself, wrote the music, sang some more for us, and toured the awesomeness that I was able to experience for myself, and meet the man in person.
I must say, he was very nice, and really seemed to like my present for him, (a small sculpted necklace featuring the head of Ludifer on a chain I made.  I also turned his likeness into my costume for the event, which you can see on my blog page.  lol)  He was genuinely nice, very humble for a man who has jumped up the cult fame ladder as quickly as he seems to have done.  He was all about keeping his works for his fans.  Powered by us, for us.  It was a very impressive experience meeting him, even if it was only briefly, as well as hearing him talk about his pet projects.  you could really feel the passion he has for his work, and his love for his fans certainly shows while he talks about what he does and why.
A talented artist, he has also created his own indie comic, The Molting, which is available for purchase from multiple online sites, especially his own.  I haven't been able to get my own copy yet, hard to do while living the broke life, but from what I have seen of it, it's a dark story, beautifully illustrated, set in the decaying urban landscape in Anaheim CA, the story follows a dysfunctional family, and traces it's history, secrets and strange bonds.
He also writes a column for "Fantastique" magazine, and wrote a wordless story called "God and the box".
For more info on our beloved writer/actor/singer/artist, please take a trip to his personal webpage, check out all his works in greater detail, and read his blog.
